Thang Phan Viet has extensive work experience in software development and engineering. thang started their career in 2009 at FPT Software, where they worked as a software engineer until 2016. In 2014, they briefly worked as a software developer at open digital. From 2016 to 2017, they served as an EPiServer Expert Services Engineer at Episerver. Since 2017, they have been working as a software developer at True Anthem.

Thang Phan Viet completed their secondary education at the Hanoi University of Technology from 2005 to 2007.
