Deepak Anniyappa

Deepak Anniyappa has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Deepak began their career as a Frontend Developer at Softway in 2007. In 2010, they joined G7 InfoTech Private Limited as a Web Interactive Designer, responsible for the design and implementation of interactive web design.

In 2011, Deepak moved to Sourcebits Digital, where they worked as an Interaction Designer and UX Designer. Deepak stayed with the company until 2014, gaining expertise in these areas.

From 2014 to 2015, Deepak co-founded MEVU (Glavio, Inc) and served as the Co-Founder, Product. Deepak primarily focused on user experience and problem-solving.

In 2015, Deepak took up the role of Interactive Art Director at InMobi, a mobile advertising platform. Deepak worked there until 2016.

Following that, Deepak joined Babajob.com as the Head Of UX Design. Deepak collaborated with workers across industries to design empathy-inspired products, services, and experiences. Deepak also led project management and mentoring activities, presenting design solutions to key executives.

Later in 2016, Deepak became a Founding Member at Rooter Sports Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Their responsibilities included leading end-to-end design and innovation, conducting design research, facilitating the design thinking model, and communication design for project strategy. Deepak later served as the Head Of Design, focusing on workshop design, project management, and mentoring.

In 2020, Deepak joined Freecharge as the Associate Director of Product Design for Axis Bank. Deepak was a part of the core founding team and played a crucial role in scaling the company to a full-stack FinTech company with a 16+ strong design team.

Most recently, Deepak joined Balancehero India as the Deputy General Manager of Product Design, and later became the General Manager & Global Head of Product Design in 2023.

Throughout their career, Deepak has demonstrated extensive experience in design, strategy, project management, and mentoring.

Deepak Anniyappa's education history includes a diverse range of academic experiences. In 1993, they completed their 12th grade at Kendriya Vidyalaya. Following this, from 2005 to 2006, they pursued a specialization in Character Animation at PC Hardnet. In 2007, Deepak enrolled at Bangalore University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Application (BCA) in 2010. In 2011, they attended Design Incubator Research & Development Labs for a brief period, focusing on User Experience for Enterprise, Web, and Mobile, with a specific emphasis on Research and Experimental Psychology. Deepak's educational journey is ongoing, as currently they are pursuing a Postgraduate Degree at the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli since 2022.
