Geurt Hakfoort

Geurt Hakfoort has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Geurt started their career as a Trainee at Elster Instromet in 2002. Geurt then worked as a Part-time Job/Vacation employee at Van Neerbos Bouwmarkten (Gamma) from 2001 to 2008. In 2008, they gained experience as a Trainee at Equinix.

From 2008 to 2013, Geurt worked at Nxs Internet B.V. where they held roles as a Junior Linux Engineer, Medior Linux Engineer, and eventually as a Senior Linux Engineer. In 2013, they joined CYSO as a System Component Administrator before transitioning to Denit in 2015. At Denit, they initially served as a Cloud Specialist and later became a Systems Architect until 2021.

In 2021, Geurt joined Uniserver as a Product Architect, where they worked until 2023. Currently, they are employed as a Solutions Architect at True B.V., starting in April 2023.

Additionally, Geurt has volunteered at Fidessa Welzijn from 2005 until 2011.

Geurt Hakfoort completed a Bachelor of ICT degree at Saxion University of Applied Sciences from 2004 to 2008. Before that, from 2001 to 2003, they pursued an MBO in Information Technology at Graafschap College. Geurt also obtained their MAVO degree in Languages (English, German, Dutch), Economics, Mathematics, Science, and Biology from Almende College Locatie Bluemers between 1998 and 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Geurt Hakfoort has obtained certification as a Mirantis Certified Administrator for OpenStack (MCA-100) from Mirantis in March 2014. Geurt also earned the Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification from CNCF (Cloud Native Computing Foundation) in March 2020.
