Dr. Patrick Johnson, CISSP has a diverse range of work experience in the field of cybersecurity and network infrastructure management. Dr. Patrick began their career as the Manager of Information Systems at Associated Research Services in 1995, where they were responsible for overseeing the organization's information systems.

In 1997, Dr. Johnson joined Birdville ISD as a Network Engineer, where they managed support staff and operations for technical services district-wide. Dr. Patrick also played a role in technology budgeting and served as a liaison between the TIMS Department and the Curriculum & Instruction Department.

After working at Birdville ISD, Dr. Johnson joined Judson ISD in 2011 as the Director of Network Services, a position they held until 2012. From there, they moved on to Lewisville ISD, where they took on the roles of Manager of Network & Technical Services and later, Interim Director of Network & Technical Services. In these positions, they managed teams responsible for datacenter/network infrastructure, service desk, desktop services, and field support technicians. Dr. Patrick oversaw the management of over 100,000 endpoint devices and played a key role in the design and implementation of large-scale networking and security infrastructure.

In 2016, Dr. Johnson joined EducationSuperHighway as a Senior Network Consultant. In this role, they provided educational and consulting services to public school district superintendents and technology directors, helping them design network infrastructures and optimize the use of limited funding.

From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Johnson worked as the Sr. IT Resource Manager at Tarrant County, where they managed staff, systems, and infrastructure supporting various county functions and elected officials. Dr. Patrick was responsible for supporting multiple datacenters, SDN, cybersecurity, telephony, and compliance with regulations such as CJIS.

Currently, Dr. Johnson serves as the Cybersecurity Practice Manager at True North Consulting Group, where they develop and performs a range of cybersecurity-related assessments and plans, including IT Risk, NIST NCF, CIS, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery planning.

Throughout their career, Dr. Patrick Johnson has demonstrated expertise in network infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and strategic planning. Dr. Patrick holds a CISSP certification.

Dr. Patrick Johnson, CISSP, has an extensive education history. Dr. Patrick obtained a Doctorate of Business Administration with a focus on Information Systems & Enterprise Resource Management from California Intercontinental University between 2015 and 2018. Prior to that, they earned an MS degree in Computer Education & Cognitive Systems from the University of North Texas from 2008 to 2011. Dr. Johnson also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems from The University of Texas at Arlington, which they completed from 1992 to 1995. Additionally, they received an Associate of Arts degree in General Business from Tarrant County College from 1988 to 1992.

In terms of certifications, Dr. Johnson has several notable achievements. Dr. Patrick obtained the NCSP (NIST Cybersecurity Practitioner) certification from APMG International in January 2022. Dr. Patrick also holds the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification from the INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY CERTIFICATION CONSORTIUM, which they gained in December 2014. Furthermore, Dr. Johnson obtained the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker v10) certification from EC-Council in January 2020.
