Derek Alston is a seasoned professional in governance and risk management, currently serving as a Partner and Principal at True North Partners since October 2015. Prior to this role, Derek held positions at PwC South Africa from October 2012 to September 2015, including Senior Manager and Manager, focusing on Governance, Risk, and Compliance in the financial services sector. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Manager and Auditor at PwC, where responsibilities encompassed risk assessment, strategy reviews, and auditing major South African banks. Derek holds a BCom (Hons) in Management Accounting from the University of the Witwatersrand, obtained in 2007.
