Bas van Rens

Bas van Rens has a long history of work experience. From 2000 to 2004, they worked at Polymer Vision, Philips Technology Incubator, where they held the roles of General Manager, Business Development and Strategy Manager, and Senior Scientist. From 2004 to 2007, they were the CEO of OTB Display, and from 2007 to 2008, they were the CEO of AMB i.t. BV. From 2008 to 2010, they were the CEO of ChampionChip BV, and from 2010 to 2017, they were the CEO of MYLAPS Sports Timing. In 2017, they became the Founder and CEO of TrueKinetix and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ilionx. In addition, they have been a Member of the Supervisory Board of Rijnstate since 2015.

Bas van Rens began their educational journey in 1989 when they attended The University of Kansas, studying Biomechanics and Psychology, but did not receive a degree. Bas then attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 1990 to 1995, where they earned an MSc in Medical Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they returned to Eindhoven University of Technology from 1996 to 1999, where they received a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, they attended Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2002 to 2003, where they earned an MBA in Finance and M&A.
