Daniel Kelly has over 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, IT support, and network administration. Daniel began their career in 2011 as a Network Administrator at Techni-Tool. In 2012, they moved to Execupharm as an IT Support Specialist, where they designed and developed a Learning Management System using Java, Spring 3, Struts 2, JPA, and related web technologies. In 2014, they joined IBM as a Software Engineer and rose to the position of Staff Engineer (Band 7). At IBM, they developed a Spring Batch application for user management solutions and mentored junior developers. In 2016, they joined Jornaya as a Software Engineer and Sustaining Engineer, where they were the Tech Lead of a scrum team and reduced Jornaya's AWS costs by $30,000 a month. In 2018, they moved to Syapse as a Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, where they led a team of six engineers responsible for developing and maintaining Syapse's Data Platform and helped pioneer Syapse's Data Platform for Real-World Evidence exploration. Currently, they are a Staff Engineer at TrueNorth - Profits to Truckers.
Daniel Kelly obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems from Penn State University between 2005 and 2009. Daniel then obtained a Master's Degree in Software Engineering from Penn State Great Valley between 2012 and 2014. Daniel also obtained a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in January 2016.
