Paulo Mártires has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Paulo started their career as a performing arts communication and marketing consultant for various cultural organizations, where they developed and implemented communication strategies, managed relations with the media, and prepared press kits.
In 2006, Paulo joined Mediacode, a small web agency, where they served as a project manager and user experience lead. Paulo introduced UX capabilities to the agency, which resulted in conquering clients in new segments such as public administration and tourism. Paulo also handled project management, new business development, and strategic planning.
In 2010, they joined DRI, a company specializing in CRM projects. As the web and user experience lead, Paulo revitalized web projects and introduced user experience design as a critical differentiator. Paulo'sfocus on design and the implementation of new methods caught the attention of clients and the market.
In 2015, Paulo co-founded Driven, a startup that inherited a team, clients, and projects from another company. Paulo served as the chief experience officer and led the efforts to build a new company, define a market strategy, and implement processes and tools while keeping projects moving and clients satisfied.
From 2016 to 2018, Paulo worked as the chief experience officer at Connect Enterprises, a capital investment group. Paulo created synergies between the group's companies and explored opportunities to develop new business areas by leveraging experience design as a competitive advantage.
Currently, Paulo is working at Truewind as the design and digital experience director. Paulo manages a team of UX designers and frontend developers, pushing the limits of low-code development and leading the creation of business-changing solutions. Truewind is a global solutions provider that specializes in low-code development and enhances multi-channel customer experiences for various customers.

Paulo Mártires completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Communication at Instituto Superior de Comunicação Empresarial from 2000 to 2004. Paulo then pursued a Master's degree in Cultural Management at Universitat de Barcelona, completing it in 2006. In 2011, they attended UXLX 2011 where they participated in a workshop titled "Strategic User Experience: Beyond the Interface." Additionally, in the same year, they also attended another workshop titled "Designing Social Interfaces" at UXLX 2011. In February 2012, Paulo obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance.
