Derek Owens possesses extensive experience in the financial technology sector, having held prominent leadership positions at Truist and BB&T. At Truist, from December 2019 to October 2022, Derek served as Executive Vice President and Divisional CIO of Enterprise Functions Technology, as well as Senior Vice President overseeing Commercial Lending Technology and Indirect Lending Technology. Prior to this, from August 2002 to December 2019, Derek held various roles at BB&T, including Senior Vice President and ADS Services Manager, Shared Services Technology Leader, and Infrastructure Manager. Derek earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University and attended the Banking School at Wake Forest University.
