Shawn Bannon is a seasoned communications executive with extensive experience in strategic executive communications, public relations, and thought leadership. Currently serving as SVP of Executive Communications at Truist since August 2022, Shawn supports the CEO by crafting speeches, messages, and content to enhance employee and stakeholder engagement while promoting the company's values and objectives. Previous roles include Chief Speechwriter for Lowe's CEO and Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at PNC, among others. As a founder of Bannon Communications and Bannon Leadership Consulting, Shawn has provided strategic guidance to a diverse range of clients and has earned recognition for effective communication strategies across various industries. An accomplished golf blogger, Shawn combines a passion for golf with a commitment to storytelling. Shawn holds a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
