Laurent Mareschal has a diverse and extensive work experience in finance and leadership roles. Laurent currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at TruLeaf, where they are responsible for Finance, HR, Legal, and IT. Laurent was also the CFO and Head of Strategy, Canadian Banking from 2012 to 2016, where they played a key role in a multi-billion-dollar acquisition and implemented various financial strategies to drive bottom-line growth. Laurent's earlier roles at Scotiabank included Senior Vice President, All Bank Financial Planning & Analysis, Managing Director and CFO at Scotia Capital, Vice President of Expense Management, and Director of M&A and Financial Engineering.

Laurent started their career at Scotiabank as a Senior Analyst and Analyst in Corporate Forecasting in 1993. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in financial management, strategic planning, M&A, and developing and optimizing processes and systems.

Laurent Mareschal has a diverse education history. In 1991-1992, they attended McMaster University and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance. Later, in 2015, they participated in the Executive Leadership Program at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business. Furthermore, they pursued their undergraduate studies at McGill University, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science.
