Sal Quintanilla

Sal Quintanilla has over 30 years of work experience in the software engineering field. Sal is currently serving as the Principal Lead Software Engineer at TruMed Systems, Inc. since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at D&K Engineering as a Senior Software Engineer from October 2018 to June 2021. Before that, they held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Applied Cardiac Systems, Inc. from September 2014 to September 2018.

Sal also has managerial experience, having worked as the Manager of Software Engineering at L-3 Linkabit from October 2014 to March 2016. During this role, they played a key role in streamlining the product development process and improving the work environment. Sal also contributed to the company as a software contributor and was involved in learning satellite communications technologies.

Earlier in their career, Sal worked as a Senior Member Technical Staff at Wind River from May 2005 to July 2014. Sal was responsible for providing rapid support to various projects and customers, acting as a team lead, architect, or developer as needed. Sal also served as the lead architect for Wind River's Digital Living Initiative and provided technical input during customer-facing meetings.

Sal's work experience also includes roles at Flextronics, Stac Electronics, Pacific Data Products, The FAX Group, and Institutional Property Consultants, where they held various positions such as Principal Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Senior Project Manager, and Programmer. In these roles, they contributed to the development and management of embedded and application software solutions, gained expertise in software design, and played a major role in developing key components for FAX and printer products.

Throughout their career, Sal has received recognition for their technical expertise and the high quality of their work. Sal has demonstrated a strong ability to adapt to different projects and technologies, and has shown a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.

Sal Quintanilla has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego. In 2012, they began self-study in Mobile Application Development. Prior to that, Sal attended Pacific High School in San Leandro, CA.
