Richard Valdez

Richard Valdez is an experienced IT professional with a strong background in service desk management and technical support. Currently serving as the Director of Global Service Desk at Trupanion since June 2021, Richard has previously held the position of IT Service Desk Manager at Avalara, where significant improvements in user experience were achieved through the design and implementation of a Jira Service Desk portal. Richard also served as Manager of the IT Helpdesk at Silverado Care, overseeing a team of technicians and handling hiring and evaluations. Earlier roles include Technology Specialist at Saddleback School District, Senior Lead Support Specialist at Epicor Software, IT Lead at Regulus Integrated Solutions, and a foundational position in customer service at Trader Joe’s. Richard Valdez holds an education from Orange Coast College and Mission Viejo High School.
