Emily Townsend

Emily Townsend is an Associate Engineer II at Trussell, having previously worked as a Research Laboratory Specialist at Marine Trace Element Laboratory (MTEL). Emily has extensive experience in designing and implementing mesocosm systems to study relationships between trace metals, macronutrients, and ocean ecology. Prior to their current role, Emily held positions as a Laboratory Technician at SOEST Laboratory for Analytical Biogeochemistry and as a Laboratory Scientist at Georgia DNR Environmental Protection Division Laboratory. Emily's educational background includes a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences from the University of South Carolina.
