Joel Greenwell

Joel Greenwell is an experienced professional in philanthropy and education, currently serving as Philanthropy Manager at Trussell since November 2023, where collaboration with over 100 individual partners focuses on eliminating the need for food banks in the UK. Additionally, since July 2023, Joel is an Inclusion Advisory Group Member for Newcastle United Football Club, advocating for equality, diversity, and inclusion within the sport. Previously, as Head of Philanthropy at Teach First from July 2016 to November 2023, Joel led a team that generated over £3 million annually and played a pivotal role in securing substantial funding and managing key partnerships. Joel's earlier roles include various leadership positions at Teach First, involving national program implementation and recruitment strategies. A trustee at LORD LAWSON OF BEAMISH ACADEMY from May 2020 to July 2023, Joel enhanced governance skills, while experience as a Graduate Ambassador at Newcastle University provided deep insights into educational access challenges.
