Chad Sutfin

Chad Sutfin has over 9 years of work experience, with their most recent position being a Software Engineer in Manufacturing Test Automation at Trust Automation, Inc. Since September 2020, they have been responsible for developing software to automate testing in the manufacturing process.

Additionally, they developed tools to enhance team collaboration and catch bugs at build-time. In their subsequent role as a Product Engineer, Chad led teams to troubleshoot and fix hardware issues and worked with product development engineers to define production test coverage and create a test plan.

Chad's work experience also includes a position as a Project Intern at CUI Inc in 2014, where they developed software tools using Excel and VB to analyze product data and streamline the sales team's workflow. Additionally, they collected and verified product specifications and manufacturing details.

During their time as a Mechanical Engineer Intern at CLIMAX Portable Machining & Welding Systems from 2012 to 2014, Chad designed mechanical components for machine tool product lines and developed tools and fixtures to improve product assembly. Chad also created an online database of assembly instructions.

Chad's earliest work experience was as a Shop Assistant at Metal Innovations, Inc. from August 2011 to January 2012.

Chad Sutfin completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from George Fox University, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they continued their education at Portland State University, focusing on MS-Level Coursework in Computer Engineering. Chad obtained certifications in various areas such as iOS game development, building a note-taking app for iOS, and learning Amazon Web Services Lambda. These certifications were earned from Lynda.com, with the most recent certification obtained in January 2018.
