Kevin Orpana

Kevin Orpana has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kevin currently holds the position of VP, Data & Analytics at Trust Science since August 2022. Prior to this, they served as VP, Risk Data Aggregation, Analytics and Reporting at Canadian Western Bank from September 2017 to June 2022.

At ATB Financial, Kevin held multiple roles including Managing Director, Credit Scorecards and Portfolio Management from November 2012 to August 2017. Kevin also served as General Manager / Director, Credit Portfolio Management from July 2007 to October 2012, Senior Information Manager, Credit Portfolio Management from May 2006 to June 2007, and Portfolio Risk Modeling Specialist, Credit Portfolio Management from March 2005 to April 2006. Additionally, they worked as a Corporate Credit Audit Manager in the Internal Audit department from May 2003 to February 2005, and as a Commercial Credit Analyst in the Credit Risk department from March 2001 to April 2003.

Earlier in their career, Kevin worked as an Economist in the EPA Division of the Alberta Treasury for the Government of Alberta from 2000 to 2001. Kevin also served as a Teaching/Research Assistant in the Economics Department at the University of Alberta from 1998 to 2000.

Kevin Orpana has a diverse education history. Kevin began by obtaining an HBA degree in Economics from Western University in 1998. Kevin then pursued further education in the field of finance, completing the Canadian Securities Course at the Canadian Securities Institute in 1998. Following this, they obtained an MA degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Alberta in 2001. In 2007, they engaged in the Professional Banking Program at the Canadian Securities Institute, completing the program in 2012. Most recently, in 2019, they underwent Coaching Training and Practicum at Essential Impact.
