Bob Sovers

Bob Sovers has a diverse work experience in the field of data and database development. Bob is currently working as the Director of Business Intelligence at TrustArc since January 2022. Previously, they worked as a Data Warehouse Developer at Parallels from March 2016 to November 2021. In this role, Bob was primarily responsible for developing SQL Server procedures and queries, handling ETL sources using XML, JSON, REST, and Excel spreadsheets, and administering and monitoring production and development environments.

Before Parallels, Bob worked as a Database Developer III at Nordstrom from July 2015 to January 2016, and as a Data Validation Analyst at Costco Wholesale from October 2014 to July 2015.

Prior to that, Bob held the position of Back Office Developer at Sharebuilder of CapitalOne from August 2012 to August 2014. In this role, they worked on software development using Java and Sybase ASE & IQ, supported marketing and analytics data warehouse ETL processes, and provided investigation, debugging, and analysis support for other back-office applications.

Earlier in their career, Bob worked as a Consultant at CIBER, Inc. from February 2012 to August 2012, a Functional Analyst at T-Mobile from February 2012 to August 2012, a Database Developer II at Expedia from May 2011 to December 2011, an SQL Developer at AT&T from February 2010 to May 2011, and a Software Development Engineer in Test at Microsoft from January 2010 to February 2010.

Bob Sovers completed their secondary education at Bettendorf High School from 1974 to 1978. Bob then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, studying from 1978 to 1982. In September 2001, Bob obtained a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft.
