Dr. André Schweizer

Dr. André Schweizer is a distinguished expert in blockchain technologies and cybersecurity, currently serving as Partner and Principal at TRUSTEQ GmbH since August 2022, and as a UCL CBT Research Associate at the UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies, which focuses on the integration of blockchain into socio-economic systems since June 2019. Dr. Schweizer has held a position as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Bayreuth, teaching Cybersecurity and Emerging Technologies, and was the co-founder and CEO of qbound, a company that created a novel cybersecurity suite utilizing software-defined perimeter and blockchain infrastructure from May 2019 to August 2022. Additional experiences include social entrepreneurship with donate-impact.org, research assistance and PhD studies at Fraunhofer FIT, and visiting research work at the MIT Media Lab. Dr. Schweizer holds multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in Information Systems with a focus on fintech and blockchain from the University of Bayreuth and has participated in numerous international academic programs related to blockchain technology.
