At Trusting Connections, we believe that wisdom can arrive in the most unexpected and gentle of forms. Sometimes through the quiet presence of a horse, and sometimes through the pages of a beautifully illustrated story.

After years of practice as a Counsellor and Equine Assisted Therapy Practitioner, Trusting Connections has always been a place where connection, healing, and growth are nurtured with care. Our roots run deep in expressive, creative, and somatic approaches to wellbeing and modalities that honour the whole person: mind, body, and nervous system.

Today, that same philosophy has grown into something new. We've left the direct therapy space now and Trusting Connections has evolved into a place for education, storytelling, and family-centred learning. 

Inspired by the real-life wisdom of our herd of three horses, 'Star, Koda and Shadow' and the many lives they touched simply by being themselves, we have channelled these profound observations into a children's book that speaks to the heart of what it means to feel present, aware, safe, and connected. We are proud to announce that 'Hoofbeats and Heartbeats' will be released this Autumn. 

All the writing is guided by a deep understanding of children and families. Drawing on a rich foundation in person-centred approaches, somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and expressive therapies, our books aim to be accessible resources that families can genuinely use together.
