Nikolay Fokin

Nikolay Fokin has over 14 years of work experience in the software engineering field. In 2006, they began their career as a Software Engineer at Buongiorno. Nikolay then worked as a Web Developer at LOYALME in 2013, and a Software Engineer at Lumata Digital in 2011. From 2014 to 2018, Fokin worked as a Software Engineer - Freelancer at Upwork. Nikolay then joined ezhome in 2016 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed the backend for an online store and created a quote calculation tool. In 2018, Fokin joined Coins.ph as a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead, where they led development and maintenance of services related to the Compliance department, designed and developed microservices for transaction processing, audit, and operations automation, and built microservices for automated reconciliation. Since 2020, Fokin has been a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead at Truv, where they have designed and implemented client and system APIs for core products, designed for backend services, and set up and improved infrastructure based on AWS.

Nikolay Fokin obtained a Master's Degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University) between 1998 and 2004. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: Building Containerized Applications on AWS from Coursera in September 2020, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera in March 2015.
