Nate S. Hartman

Nate S. Hartman has over 25 years of experience in information security, risk management, and compliance. In 1995, they founded Commercial Zen, Inc. as President and CEO, where they served as a web developer and designer until 2008. In 2002, they became the Director of IT at Soligent, where they were responsible for all information systems and security for the company. In 2011, they founded Security and Forensics Group (SFG.NET), where they developed the "preemptive forensics" network appliance and provided penetration testing, security assessment, compliance audit preparation, and remediation. From 2012-2013, they volunteered as Webmaster for the (ISC)2 San Francisco Chapter and also worked as a Senior Network Security Engineer at FishNet Security, performing PCI DSS security compliance assessments as a QSA for Fortune companies. From 2014-2018, they worked at Symantec as an Information Security Lead, Senior Security Program Manager (PCI), and Senior Principal Information Security Analyst. Nate S. is currently the CISO at Truvantis.

Nate S. Hartman's education history includes attending College of Marin, Kentfield from 1984 to 1988, where they earned an Associate of Arts - AA in Music Theory, General Education Units. Nate S. then attended Sonoma State University from 1989 to 1991, studying Music Theory and Composition. Nate S. also obtained CCSP from (ISC)2 San Francisco Chapter, though the month and year of this certification are unknown.
