Trying Together
Allison Hritz is a Professional Learning Strategist at Trying Together since June 2021, focusing on research and practices related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in professional growth opportunities. Previously, Allison served as a Professional Learning Coordinator, collaborating with early learning centers within ELRC Region 5 to develop new professional development sessions based on educational research. Prior roles include Substitute Teacher at Pittsburgh Public Schools, Student Teacher at Perry Traditional Academy, and Social Media Manager at WPPJ Radio. Allison has also been involved in various educational initiatives, such as serving on the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee at Point Park University and working as an HR intern with The Borgen Project to advocate for global poverty reduction. With a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Point Park University and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education Policy and Leadership at American University, Allison combines extensive experience in education with a commitment to fostering inclusive environments.

Trying Together supports high-quality care and education for young children by providing advocacy, community resources, and professional growth opportunities for the needs and rights of children, their families, and the individuals who interact with them. Trying Together works regionally (in Southwestern Pennsylvania) and takes its expertise and models to statewide and national audiences.
