Alex Confer

Alex Confer is a Co-Founder at Risotto, established in January 2024, focusing on AI-powered IT support and backed by YCombinator. Previously, Alex served as the Head of IT Engineering at Gusto from January 2022 to December 2023 and as the Head of Corporate Engineering/IT at Vise from April 2021 to January 2022, where significant funding was raised to enhance investment solutions for financial advisors. Prior positions include Head of Corporate Identity & Access at Dropbox, where responsibilities included identity and access strategy, and IT Manager at HelloSign, focusing on operational security and compliance. Alex also contributed as a founding board member of Agua Viva Serves, aimed at providing clean water projects in Costa Rica, and has held various technology-focused roles across other organizations, including Director of Technology at 4Rivers Smokehouse. Alex holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Florida Southern College and has participated in Y Combinator's W24 program.
