Carys Barnes

Carys Barnes has over a decade of experience in the banking sector, currently serving as the Head of Personal Current Accounts and Head of Commercial Growth at TSB Bank since June 2016. Carys has been instrumental in developing the Customer Banking strategy and overseeing digital change projects. Previous roles at TSB include Head of Enterprise Assurance Testing, Reporting and Analytics, and Senior Business Manager to the CEO, showcasing strong leadership and crisis management skills, particularly during TSB’s IT migration in 2018. Prior to TSB, Carys held various positions at Barclays, including Assistant Vice President - Product Manager for Current Accounts, and completed the Future Leaders Development Programme. Carys began the career at Lloyds Banking Group as a Marketing Optimisation Analyst. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Management and Strategy from Aston University, a Professional Diploma from BPP University, and A-Levels from Alcester Grammar and St Benedict's Roman Catholic High School.
