David Filmer has over 30 years of work experience in training and development roles. David currently serves as the Head of People Development and Microsoft Training at TSG, where they are responsible for managing learning and development across the company. Prior to this, they worked as a Training & Development Manager at TSG, where they oversaw the provision and procurement of technical training and facilitated the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of training activities. Before joining TSG, David held various positions at companies such as GAME, Gamestation, Poundstretcher Ltd., Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, and Bells & Jacksons Stores (part of Sainsbury's plc). Their roles included Divisional HR Manager, Development Team Manager, Training & Development Manager, and Learning & Development Manager. David's experience spans across multiple industries and involves delivering the organizations' people agenda, business partnering with regional managers, supporting management development, and implementing succession plans.
David Filmer completed their education at Teesside University. From 1994 to 1997, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Business Communication. Later, from 2001 to 2003, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Human Resource Management. Additionally, David Filmer has obtained certifications in Microsoft 365 Fundamentals from Microsoft, with one certification in December 2021.
