Alan Drake

Alan Drake is a seasoned technical manager at TSMC since June 2014, focusing on the development of mixed-signal circuits for power management, with notable projects in random number generation, digital LDO, and multi-phase buck converter phase control. Prior experience includes a decade at IBM as a research staff member, where significant research contributions were made in critical path monitors, on-chip voltage converters, resonant clock design, and power management optimization. Earlier roles included a research assistantship at the University of Michigan, where local resonant clocking was developed, and a research internship at IBM, contributing to resonant clocking concepts. Alan holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona.
