H.-S. Philip Wong

Chief Scientist, TSMC at TSMC

H.-S. Philip Wong is currently the Willard R. and Inez Kerr Bell Professor in the School of Engineering and Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, a position held since September 2004. Wong also serves as Chief Scientist and Vice President of Corporate Research at TSMC, starting in July 2018 while on leave from Stanford. Prior to these roles, Wong worked at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center from August 1988 to August 2004, where responsibilities included Research Staff Member, Manager, and Senior Manager. Wong earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stony Brook University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Hong Kong.
