Omar Alcala

Omar Alcala has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Omar is currently working at Tsunami Tsolutions as a Lead Java Developer since 2022. Prior to this, they were associated with Oracle from 2011 to 2022, where they held the positions of Principal Application Engineer and Senior Applications Engineer. In these roles, they led the Java development team, updated the Java Message Service framework, built JUnit tests, designed and implemented the data model, and integrated analytics solutions with Customer Service Cloud.

Before joining Oracle, Omar worked at InQuira from 2008 to 2011 as an Analytics Technical Lead and Senior Java Developer. Omar contributed to solving complex issues, made key additions to the application, and added MySQL and Debian support to the code base.

Omar's early career includes their tenure at Lockheed Martin from 2002 to 2008. Omar held the positions of Software Engineer Associate Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and ELDP Software Engineer. In these roles, they managed software staffing plans, led Agile development teams, worked with customers to define business processes, and contributed to proposal teams. Additionally, they were involved in various software development projects, including the creation of an After Action Review system and Core J2EE campaigns.
