William Dillon has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. William started their career in 1985 at Aetna, where they supported online and batch systems related to credit insurance and healthcare processes. William also developed systems for connecting with external systems and implemented strategies to improve batch performance. In 1989, they became a manager at Aetna, overseeing the re-architecture and development of client-server systems for customer service and producer administration. During this time, they also implemented object-oriented approaches and developed systems for a centralized 800 number service. In 1999, they transitioned into a role as a team lead at Aetna, where they designed and developed a defined benefit/contribution calculator in Java. In 2000, they joined Voya Financial, where they held various positions over the years. William managed teams responsible for web and middleware infrastructure, including outsourced vendor contracts. William also provided support for website security and developed and supported Java applications. In their most recent role at Tsunami Tsolutions LLC., which started in 2019, they worked as a senior web engineer, primarily focusing on web engineering support for Pratt and Whitney and implementing security measures for Tsunami's own applications.
William Dillon attended the University of Connecticut from 1975 to 1979, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. William then pursued additional education and received a Certificate in Project Management from Bryant University. Furthermore, they obtained a Certificate in Agile Project Management, also from Bryant University. In 1985, they received a Certificate of Programming from the Computer Processing Institute in East Hartford, Connecticut. In December 2018, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
