Tor Frislie

Tor Frislie has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Tor started their career in 1986 as an Automation Mechanic at Raufoss AS, where they gained experience in maintenance and repair of production line machinery. Tor then worked as a Maintenance and Production Operator at Raufoss Automotive before transitioning to a Development Engineer at Hydro Raufoss Automotive, focusing on the development of automotive structure parts.

In 1999, Tor joined Maritime Pusnes AS as a Project Engineer, specializing in 3D design of mooring systems. Tor later became a Team Leader, Mechanical Design, where they managed project engineers and handled production issues. Tor then took on the role of Senior Project Engineer and Deputy Product Manager, overseeing project engineers and assisting in manufacturing execution.

Tor joined Aker Solutions (Aker Pusnes) in 2005 as a Senior Engineer, Production Follow-up, working on offshore projects and assisting in the establishment and maintenance of production partners in Asia. Tor then became a Warranty Manager, responsible for building the warranty team and developing strategies for customer focus.

In 2014, Tor joined MacGregor as a Senior Engineer, Production Follow-up, before progressing to various roles such as Sourcing Manager and Senior Manager, Category Sourcing. Tor is currently the Director, Sourcing & Supply Chain Services in the Offshore Solutions Division, leading strategic sourcing teams and developing strategies for sustainable growth in the Green Energy Business segment.

Throughout their career, Tor has demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, and project execution. Tor has also gained experience in cross-cultural team coordination and coordination between different business areas.

Tor Frislie has a diverse education history. Tor attended various technical high schools, including Moelv Technical High School, Brumunddal Technical High School, and Raufoss Technical High School, from 1981 to 1984. In 1984, they enrolled in Gjøvik Technical College for an Engineering Pre-study program. From 1991 to 1993, they pursued a technician degree in Machine and Technique of Construction from Gjøvik Technical College. Tor then obtained an Engineer's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Universitetet i Agder (UiA) Grimstad from 1993 to 1995. Continuing their education, Tor Frislie completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechatronics Engineering from Universitetet i Agder (UiA), Grimstad, between 2002 and 2004. Tor furthered their education in procurement by attending the Procurement Academy USA, where they obtained a Certified Advanced Procurement Professional (CAPP) degree from 2017 to 2018. Tor is currently engaged in ongoing professional development in the field of procurement through the Procurement Academy USA's Ongoing Professional Development (ODP) program since 2018. Additionally, they have received certifications in Lean Six Sigma, obtaining a Yellow Belt certification from Lean Communications AS in 2014 and a White Belt certification in the same year, also from Lean Communications AS.
