Gardiner W. Garrard

Co-Founder and Managing Partner at TTV Capital

Gardiner is a co-founder and a Managing Partner of TTV. He has been working in venture capital since the late 90's and is recognized by Institutional Investor as one of the top fintech investors. In 2000 Gardiner founded TTV with Tom Smith. Gardiner was one of the first venture investors to recognize the transformative impact technology would begin having on the constitution and delivery of financial services. He has not only served as an active director, but also has direct operating and leadership experience in financial technology companies.

Gardiner continues to focus on investing in the modernization of the financial services. Current areas of interest include security, financial wellness, blockchain enabling technologies, mobility and the use of machine learning and AI in payments and banking.

He has served on the board of 15 TTV fund companies and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Featurespace, Freebird Rides, Greenlight, Ibble, Instant, ShopKeep, Verady, and is an observer on the BitPay Board of Directors.

Gardiner earned a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.B.A. from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. In 2004, he was honored with the Goizueta Business School’s Outstanding Recent Alumni Award. He is also a member of the advisory board at the Emory Eye Center, the Goizueta Business School, and the Shuford Entrepreneurship Program at UNC Chapel Hill. He is a board member of the Boys and Girls Club in Metro Atlanta and a past board member of the Georgia Economic Development Board.
