Marcel Hendrix is a part-time associate professor at Eindhoven University of Technology since February 1998, specializing in Electromechanics and Power Electronics, and teaching Modelling and Control of Power Converters. Prior to this position, Marcel Hendrix held various roles at Philips Lighting, starting as a senior principal engineer from 1983 to July 2011, where research and development focused on efficient, low-power switched-mode converters for lighting applications. Following that, Marcel Hendrix worked as a Senior Electronics Architect at Philips Innovation Services from July 2011 to January 2016, engaging in consultancy and R&D for high-capacity power converters, followed by a role as Research Scientist at Philips Lighting from February 2016 to May 2018, developing advanced switched-mode power converters. Currently, Marcel Hendrix is a scientist at Signify, focusing on specialized magnetic design software and large-scale simulations of power converters. Marcel Hendrix earned an ir degree in electronic engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology between 1975 and 1981.
