Kristel Tan

Kristel Tan has extensive work experience in the field of User Experience (UX) research and strategy. Kristel most recently worked at Tucows as the Lead UX Researcher, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior UX Researcher at Tucows from April 2021 to May 2022. Before joining Tucows, Kristel worked as a User Experience Consultant at Sway since September 2014. Kristel also worked as a UX Researcher + Strategist at Canada Post / Postes Canada from October 2019 to April 2021 and at Top Draw Inc. from July 2017 to April 2018. In addition, Kristel gained valuable experience during their travel sabbatical at Around the World from May 2018 to August 2019. Kristel'searlier roles include International Growth Manager and Community Engagement Specialist at Wattpad from October 2013 to June 2017, and Marketing & Communications Intern at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation in August 2011.

Kristel Tan has completed a Master of Information degree with a focus on User Experience Research and Design, as well as Knowledge and Information Management from the University of Toronto. Kristel also holds a Certificate in International Project Management from the same institution. Prior to this, Kristel obtained an Honours BA in Communication Studies from York University.
