Tom Tucker

Chief of Fire at Tucson Airport Authority

Tom Tucker is currently the Chief of Fire at Tucson Airport Authority. Tom has previously worked as an Emergency Medical Technician for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, a firefighter for the Fry Fire District, and a firefighter and Aerial Helitack Firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service.

Tom Tucker has been in the firefighting business for over 20 years. Tom started their career as a firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service in 1996. In 2000, they transitioned to working for the Tucson Airport Authority. Tom worked their way up the ranks and was eventually promoted to Chief of Fire in 2006.

In November 2003, Tom was deployed as part of DMAT 1 to help with natural disasters. Tom served in this role for three years before returning to Tucson Airport Authority in 2006.

Tom Tucker is a highly experienced and decorated firefighter. Tom has dedicated their life to helping others and protecting their community.

Tom Tucker studied fire science at Pima Community College and is certified as an Airport Master Firefighter by AAAE and an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the State of Arizona. Tom also has a certification from the Arizona Counter Terrorism Information Center as a Terrorism Liaison Officer.

Tom Tucker reports to Bruce Goetz, VP & COO. They work with Scott Bader - Chief of Police, Jerry Brasher - Director of Maintenance & Custodial Services, and Chris Bostwick - Director of Airside Operations.
