Kathleen Patton has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Kathleen started their career at the City of Tucson as a Contract Administrator from November 1997 to July 2011. Kathleen then joined the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award as a Committee Chair from October 2010 to July 2011. In 2007, they became a Committee Member for the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) until October 2010, and also served on the Board of Directors for the National Purchasing Institute, Inc. from September 2007 to October 2010.
Kathleen joined Tucson Electric Power in July 2011 as a Manager of Procurement & Contracts, a role they held until August 2016. Kathleen then became the T&D Manager of Design, Operational Excellence, Applications & Support from August 2016 to June 2019. From June 2019 to June 2022, they served as the T&D Director of Design, OpEx & GIS Quality Mapping. Currently, they are the Director of Energy Programs, focusing on DSM, DG (Distributed Generation), Beneficial Electrification, Business & Economic Development.
In addition to their work at Tucson Electric Power, Kathleen has also been a member of the Clevest Customer Advisory Board since January 2018. Additionally, they are a Member of the Board of Directors for the Humane Society of Southern Arizona since June 2022. Overall, Kathleen has demonstrated their expertise in procurement, operations, and project management throughout their career.
Kathleen Patton earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management from 1993 to 1995. Kathleen later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Value Driven Organization (VDO) from Central Michigan University from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, Kathleen obtained certifications in "Mastering CX" from Forrester in 2023 and in "Practicing Positive Leadership" from Michigan Ross School of Business Executive Education in 2022.
