Tracy C Ortiz

Tracy C Ortiz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the T&D Director for Distribution Design, Resource Management, Operational Excellence, and GIS Quality Mapping at Tucson Electric Power since July 2011. In this role, Tracy leads multiple teams within the Energy Delivery portfolio, focusing on the efficient use of resources to deliver high-quality services while enhancing employee engagement. Previous positions include T&D Manager of Metering Services and Manager of Southwest Energy Solutions at Tucson Electric Power, where Tracy drove sustainable change and managed over 100 employees. Prior to that, Tracy served as a Senior Metallurgist at Freeport-McMoRan and held metallurgist roles at ASARCO and Barrick Gold Corporation. Tracy holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Virginia Tech.
