Associate Chief Medical Information Officer For Acute Care at Tufts Medicine

Michael Davis has extensive work experience in the field of healthcare and informatics. Michael is currently serving as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer for Acute Care at Tufts Medicine. Prior to this, they held various roles at Tufts Medical Center, including Director of Inpatient Systems, Department of Medicine, Internal Medicine Hospitalist, Physician Lead in Informatics, Associate Program Director, and Chief Medicine Resident. Michael also worked as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. In addition to their clinical roles, they have served as an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, teaching courses on clinical reasoning and health information systems. Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Certified EpicCare Analyst at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Michael Davis began their education at Worcester Academy from 2003 to 2007. Michael then attended Cornell University from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics and Chemistry. Following this, they pursued their medical studies at UMass Chan Medical School from 2012 to 2016, earning a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. In terms of certifications, Michael obtained EpicCare Ambulatory Certification from Epic in June 2012. Michael later became Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine in October 2019. Building upon their expertise, they obtained certifications such as Notecraft for Physician Builders and Physician Builder from Epic in December 2021 and January 2022, respectively. Most recently, in January 2023, Michael received the prestigious Board Certified Clinical Informatics certification from the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM).
