Andrew Vinard

Andrew Vinard currently serves as the Director for Research Infrastructure Support at Tufts University since March 2024. With a robust career in marine science and research administration, Andrew has held positions including Chief Petty Officer and Marine Science Technician with the U.S. Coast Guard since June 2005, where responsibilities include supervising marine casualty investigations and managing national security operations. Prior to Tufts, Andrew was the Director of Core Facilities at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from October 2016 to March 2024, providing leadership to multiple centralized core facilities. Earlier roles include Coulter Program Director at the University of Miami's Wallace H. Coulter Center for Translational Research and Manager of Biotechnology Resources at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Andrew's experience encompasses policy development, grant management, and operational oversight in research environments, supported by advanced degrees in Public Administration and Environmental Planning from the University of Miami.
