Antje Danielson

Antje Danielson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and sustainability. Currently serving as the Director of Education at MIT Energy Initiative since April 2016, Danielson also holds a position as a Board Member at Earthos Institute. As the Founder of Zipcar, Danielson co-created the company in 2000, providing convenient hourly car usage to members in the U.S. In addition to these roles, Danielson has been the Director at Tufts University since May 2008 and previously served as President of the Council of Environmental Deans and Directors from January 2014 to January 2016. Contributions to sustainability efforts include being a member of the Sustainability Advisory Board at GreenerU from 2008 to 2014 and acting as the Deputy Director for Sustainability at Durham University UK from 2006 to 2008. Earlier career roles include Program Manager at the Harvard Green Campus Initiative and the Harvard University Committee on the Environment. Danielson earned a Ph.D. in Geochemistry from Freie Universität Berlin.
