Jahir Islam

Jahir Islam is currently serving as a Student Experience Advisor at Tufts University, having been selected as one of 17 members of the AS&E Student Experience Advisory Group. As the founder of Luminous Teen, Jahir seeks to enhance teen employment in Bangladesh by creating a supportive marketplace for young individuals. Involved as an Ambassador for Doha Debates, Jahir contributed to curriculum development and facilitated dialogues at international events. Selected as a Young Leader by The Queen's Commonwealth Trust, Jahir is recognized for leadership in global initiatives. Jahir has won the Partnership category at Hack for Earth, pitched solutions at Expo 2020 Dubai, and earned the title of Rise Global Finalist with Schmidt Futures. Additionally, Jahir has shared expertise on sustainable development through guest speaking engagements and has facilitated leadership development for youth through the Civics Unplugged program. Education includes a Bachelor’s Degree pursuit at Tufts University, complemented by a solid academic background in science and technology.
