Juergen Braunstein is a Faculty Lecturer at Harvard Extension School since 2020 and Assistant Professor at WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business) since October 2022. Currently affiliated with the Center for European Studies at Harvard and serving on the editorial board of the Global Policy Journal at Durham University, Braunstein also holds the position of Sovereign Wealth Fund Research Affiliate at Tufts University. In international policy initiatives, Braunstein has been a Task Force Member for T20 Brazil (February 2024 - April 2025) and T20 Indonesia (February 2022 - September 2023), focusing on Resilient Infrastructure and Finance. Braunstein's previous roles include Associate Fellow at IAI - Istituto Affari Internazionali and contributions to the Geopolitics of Energy Project at Harvard Kennedy School. Additionally, Braunstein was a member of the T20 Taskforce on Social Cohesion and the State under the G20 Saudi Secretariat (September 2019 - November 2020). Braunstein earned a PhD in Political Science from The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2014, after studying at The Australian National University in 2009.
