Robert Brucker

Robert Brucker currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Allen Discovery Center at Tufts University, a position held since February 2025. Previously, Robert co-founded DermBiont, Inc., where the role of Chief Scientific Officer involved leadership in drug discovery and translational research, advancing innovative therapeutics through clinical phases while managing a cross-functional team of over 47 professionals. Robert's academic experience includes positions as Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the University of Birmingham and as a Harvard Rowland Fellow, focusing on microbe-host-environment interactions. Early research endeavors at Vanderbilt University included studies on human and murine microbiomes, progressing from a graduate student to a postdoctoral role. Educational credentials comprise a PhD in Microbial and Eukaryotic Genetics from Vanderbilt University, along with undergraduate degrees in Biology from the University of Mount Union.
