Marcelo Iannini

Marcelo Iannini is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in the aviation industry. Currently serving as a Senior Product Owner in Data Science at TUI since October 2021, Marcelo has previously held key positions at Qatar Airways and Avianca, including Flight Safety Specialist and Flight Safety & FOQA Manager. At Avianca, Marcelo led the digital transformation of the Flight Safety department towards a data-driven approach, guiding data scientists in the implementation of machine learning models and enhancing operational decision-making through data insights. Marcelo began their career as a Flight Data Analyst and has also worked as a Maintenance Control Engineer at Lineas Aéreas Suramericanas. Marcelo holds a Master of Science in Analytics for Decision Making from Universidad de Los Andes and a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Universidad de San Buenaventura.
