Dr. Huilian Duan

Dr. Huilian Duan has a diverse work experience in the hospitality industry. From 2012 to present, they have held several roles, including Principal at DEI Advisors, Managing Director at TUI BLUE Hotels & Resorts Asia, President Greater China at HSMAI Asia Pacific, and Board Member APAC at HSMAI Asia Pacific. Dr. Huilian has also served as the Managing Director at Webin Hospitality Company Limited and Vice President Sales & Marketing APAC at Maritim Hotelgesellschaft mbH. Additionally, they have been involved with various organizations such as ACTE Association of Corporate Travel Executives, where they were a member of the ACTE Asia Council, and Best Western Hotels & Resorts, where they were the Regional Director for WWS China, India, and Southeast Asia.

Dr. Huilian Duan, GTP, has a rich educational background in the field of business and hospitality management. Dr. Huilian pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Hotel Management from Southern New Hampshire University from 2006 to 2007. Following this, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at the University of Guelph, from 2009 to 2011. Their educational journey culminated with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Economics from Tarlac State University, which they obtained between 2014 and 2018.
