Leah Johannesen

Leah Johannesen has held various engineering roles since 2012. Leah began as a Process Engineer at Intel in 2012, followed by a Product Development Engineer at Exide Technologies in 2013. In 2016, they joined Galvanize Inc as a Data Science Resident and Data Science Fellow. In 2017, they moved to Aviso Inc as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, and also worked as a Data Engineer at Aretec, Inc. Leah currently holds the role of Software Engineer at Tuition.io, a position they have held since 2020.

Leah Johannesen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida between 2006 and 2010. Leah then obtained four Coursera Course Certificates in Exploratory Data Analysis, Getting and Cleaning Data, R Programming, and The Data Scientist’s Toolbox between August and November of 2015. In 2016, they completed a Data Science Immersive program at Galvanize in San Francisco, SoMa.
