Edwige Tamalet Talbayev

Edwige Tamalet Talbayev serves as an Associate Professor of French at Tulane University since July 2013 and previously held the position of Assistant Professor of French at the same institution. Talbayev also functions as the Directrice/Editor for the quarterly journal "Expressions maghrébines" since January 2015, which is published by the Coordination Internationale des Chercheurs sur les Littératures maghrébines (CICLIM). Prior to Tulane, Talbayev was an Assistant Professor of French at Yale University, where responsibilities included a courtesy appointment in the Ethnicity, Race & Migration Program and serving as Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Department of French. Talbayev obtained a Ph.D. in Literature from UC San Diego in 2009 and has a strong academic background from various institutions in France, culminating in advanced studies in English Language and Literature.
