Erica Buher

Erica Buher serves as the Assistant Director of Community Partnerships at Tulane University's Lepage Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation since September 2023. Previously, from September 2017 to September 2022, Erica owned and operated Sundae Best, a handcrafted ice cream brand, where revenue from catering and wholesale grew 100% annually and a loyal local customer base was cultivated. Before that, as Program Director at VAYLA New Orleans from October 2012 to December 2017, Erica managed operations, supervised a team, and implemented various social justice programs while securing $2 million in grants. Erica's experience also includes serving as a Legislative Correspondent for the United States Senate from September 2011 to November 2012, focusing on foreign policy and defense communications. Erica holds a B.A. in Political Science and African Studies from the University of Michigan, earned in 2011.
