Jamil Borgi

Jamil Borgi currently serves as Chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Tulane University since April 2024. Prior to this role, Jamil Borgi was a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Montefiore Health System from March 2021 to March 2023 and held the same position at the American University of Beirut from February 2018 to March 2021. Experience also includes practicing as a Cardiothoracic Surgeon at Henry Ford Health System between September 2014 and January 2018, and completing a Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship at the University of Washington from July 2012 to June 2014. Jamil Borgi began medical training as a General Surgery resident at Henry Ford Hospital from July 2007 to June 2012. Education was completed at the American University of Beirut, earning a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) in Medicine from 2000 to 2004.
