John Welch

John Welch, PhD, serves as an Adjunct Professor in Criminal Justice and Emergency Management at Upper Iowa University and as a Course Instructor in the Psychology of Terrorism at Tulane University. Currently, John holds the position of Director of Public Safety & Emergency Management at St. Tammany Health System. Previously, John was the Security Operations Manager for North Oaks Health System and served as an Emergency Preparedness Project Specialist at the Louisiana Hospital Association. Other key roles include Director of Security and Emergency Management Operations at Pinnacle Security & Investigation Inc., Project Manager of Security Contracts for G4S at BASF Chemical Plant, and experience as a Probation and Parole Officer. With a PhD in Criminal Justice/Homeland Security from Liberty University, along with a Master of Public Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Upper Iowa University, John brings extensive expertise in security, emergency management, and criminal justice.
